Why we’d pass it along

  • Soft and soothing on sore, cracked nipples
  • Naturally warm and breathable
Danish Wool Nursing Pads - Warmth, Comfort & Leak Protection

Crafted in Denmark using ultra-soft, untreated wool, these nursing pads are designed to support your breastfeeding journey with natural comfort and warmth. They’re breathable, absorbent, and available in a wide range of sizes to fit your body and preferences, because one size definitely doesn’t fit all when it comes to your boobs.

For centuries, Scandinavian midwives have encouraged mothers to keep their breasts warm to help prevent plugged ducts and mastitis, and the larger sizes offer extra coverage for even more protection. Just soft, cozy support - day or night.

  • Change as needed and air dry between uses
Size Breakdown

It's recommended to use a tape measure to find the contoured measurement from top to bottom of your bra cup, to find which size will fit best within it.  It is intended that the pads fill much of the cup (with understanding that each woman may have individual preferences).

  • X-Small (12 cm - 5 in.)- A or B cup - most comparable in size to disposables, just a tad larger.
  • Small (15 cm - 6 in.) - B-DD+ cup – most commonly recommended size - will give full coverage, yet fit inside most bras.
  • Medium (18 cm - 7 in.) - F or larger
  • Oval (18 x 27 cm - 7 x 10 in.) - for women who want even more coverage (these are much larger than most women expect, so please check measurements before ordering!)

Many women who choose size Large opt for the Oval shaped pads, which follow the shape of your breast and bra more closely. Choice depends upon where you want more coverage.

Oval - intended for women with repetitive plugged ducts in area of armpit.

When in doubt, we recommend size Small - it will fit within most bras, yet give most coverage.
About the Brand

Danish Wool creates thoughtful, Scandinavian-made wool care products with a focus on simplicity, softness, and sustainability. Their nursing pads have been trusted by midwives and mothers for generations bringing warmth and wellness to breastfeeding, naturally.
Tips

With the larger size, compared to smaller disposables, the edge of the pad falls further back on your breast, making pads LESS noticeable through clothing.

Use a tape measure to find the vertical cup measurement to choose the best fit

If you're leaking a lot, try a mini pad underneath for extra layering

Wish I had more then one pair

These are amazing! Wish I had multiple pairs but so thankful for the one I have! Wear them every night and they have been a game changer. I also bought the soap from the same company to keep them clean and working really well. And I’m so glad I splurged and bought them.

Absolute game changer

You need these! I was gifted the extra thick medium size for my baby shower (for my third baby) and I wish I had these for the first two. Truly a game changer in terms of comfort, leak protection, and the best part-- I haven't had to apply nipple cream-- I was shocked. For my first two I thought cold therapy would help with soreness and intense oversupply- but with these I found they really help with soothing in between feeding. I bought a second pair because I always have a pair on (I'm 9weeks PP). I will just rinse reallllly well and then let them air dry. It takes about 24hrs to dry, but I love that it's anti microbial and keeps sore nips soothed and warm (warmth is best for comfort not cool! I learned the hard way 🥲). So if you're on the fence I highly recommend the extra thickness ones- if you're pumping or BF. It's the best baby shower gift, and honestly better than any special balm or cream. I can't recommend enough!!!
